Behind The Scenes

Interviews By Elias Reyes

Crossroads Ministries may appear to run like a well-oiled machine. Leading from behind are people moved through spirit-led passion.

Often with very little fanfare, they beat the drum of serving others well. In this section, we shine a spotlight on who they are and what moves them to “show absolutely everyone that God is Good”.

Caitlin Secrest

Caitlin holds the pivotal role of Tech Director within the Crossroads Creative Team. She is a key member overseeing all technical aspects of Sunday morning services.

Her responsibilities include; livestream operation, stage lighting, sound, and large-screen technology.

Caitlin is motivated by her deep affection for the Crossroads community and devotion to Jesus. Over the years, she has witnessed God's hand guiding and shaping the entire church community and its ministries, finding fulfillment in contributing to its growth.

If you're interested in managing lights, cameras, or slides, you can find Caitlin at the tech booth in the rear of the sanctuary

Judith & Jon

Jon and Judith serve as dedicated coordinators for the Family Promise ministry, an integral component of the Mercy Project.

Their tireless efforts and leadership ensure the smooth operation of this vital initiative, which extends compassion and support to families experiencing homelessness. Family Promise offers vital support to families facing homelessness by providing shelter and meals. Specifically tailored to assist single mothers with children, the program aims to address the unique challenges and needs of these families, offering them stability and a path toward a brighter future.

Through their involvement, Jon and Judith share a profound motivation derived from their ability to assist families in need, particularly the joy they experience in connecting with the enthusiastic young children who eagerly engage with the volunteers. Their dedication is fueled by the heartfelt desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those they serve.

While Family Promise may not have a specific focus on faith, the presence of God's influence is evident through the numerous miracles witnessed in the lives of graduates from the program. Despite its secular nature, the transformative power of faith can be felt as individuals experience life-altering changes and blessings on their journey beyond Family Promise.

You can find more information about Family Promise by looking for the QR code, finding Judith or Jon in the foyer in the weeks before the program begins, and also by finding Family Promise posters posted throughout the foyer.
